DYNAMIC PRICING

Dynamic pricing for hotels — explained, not a black box

Dynamic pricing works when it does more than change the rate: it explains why. Velynto RateMind™ builds the daily recommendation from a 68-element decision system and shows the reasoning and guardrail validation behind every suggested rate.

What the system evaluates

From source data to a controlled action, every layer has a defined role.

01

How is a rate recommendation created?

The engine weighs booking pace, availability, hyperlocal demand and market rate levels, then proposes a justified rate move.

  • booking pace and lead time
  • event and demand signals tuned to your exact location
  • competitor rate corridor and market median
  • 24 price signals and 40 controls validated
02

Safety guardrails

You define minimum and maximum rates and the maximum allowed move in advance. Recommendations stay inside those limits and every one shows the guardrail check result.

  • ±20% sample guardrail
  • minimum and maximum rate
  • channel-specific rules
03

A concrete example

If Friday booking pace accelerates, availability tightens and the market median sits higher, the recommendation may be EUR 146 instead of EUR 126 (+16%) — with the signals that justified it.

04

Approval or managed operation

You can approve every rate change yourself, or hand daily pricing to Velynto revenue experts working inside your guardrails.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about dynamic pricing

Do rate changes go live automatically?
Only if you want them to. With individual approval every change requires human approval; in managed operation Velynto experts approve them.
What if a recommendation feels too aggressive?
Guardrails cut extreme values automatically, and the guardrail status is always shown next to the recommendation.
Can it be paused for a period?
Yes. Any date or period can be excluded and strategic guardrails can be changed at any time.
